He has competed in the World Rally Championship, being the first rally driver with reduced mobility to obtain a license to compete against rivals without any disabilities.
He has also competed in sports such as skiing, adapted basketball, tennis, swimming, adapted cycling, etc.
After his accident in a skiing competition, he collaborated with NASA on muscle stimulation topics and later designing driving adaptation devices. Since 2001, he has been a UNICEF ambassador. He is also the owner of Albert Llovera orthopedics in the Principality of Andorra, his country of residence.
