Joan Vilà

Former football player and coach. Your teacher Joan was an offensive midfielder who played for the first team of FC Barcelona, where he won a Copa del Rey and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. As a coach, he is considered the discoverer and mentor of players like Xavi Hernández. He was the technical director of the Catalan Football Federation and in 2011 returned to FC Barcelona as the director of the Methodology Area. He authored the playing style manual and training methodology that governs all the FC Barcelona youth football. Co-founder of the consultancy 'Go Up Players' along with his son Ferran.
